most people see the individual as more of a problem than the workplace. some disabilities can be accommodated quite easily, and that is how the law has been written "reasonable accommodation" not jump through hoops for everybody

Performance management is about making sure the organization reaches its goals- usually by making processes more efficient. Think of making an assembly line or a filing system more efficient. They work in Human Resources :-) We push paper, sit on the computer, and sometimes talk to people - but less than you would think. Having said that - I LOVE it ;-)
