Are there Human Resource Management jobs that require you to travel

Are there Human Resource Management jobs that require you to travel?
My fiance and I are having a discussion and he doesn't think that there are jobs in the Human Resource Management field that require you to travel. Whether it's in the country or around the world. I'm trying to tell him that there is. Who's right and also what company's do that so I can prove him wrong! Lol! Thanks so much in advance!

Many Human Resource jobs require travel, especialy in large corporations. There are trips to college campus to recruit up coming graduates, Travel to confrences, and travel to of site satellite branch locations for business.

You're right! Although it does depend on the industry you go into. I'm an HR manager in a logistics company so I have responsibility for sites throughout the UK. The same might apply in retail, for example. Local authorities etc are going to be static, obviously! My last job covered the UK and Ireland so the regular trips to Dublin were good fun!

"How Human Resource management concepts and techniques can be of use to all managers."?
Conduct a discussion on the discussion board on the topic of, "How Human Resource management concepts and techniques can be of use to all managers." This is done via posting engaging in dialogue with each other. Next, review and analyze the discussion board postings. Post your own summary of key concepts discussed (one paragraph) and a second paragraph on five specific ways in which you feel these concepts are useful. Remember to include ways in which implementation and usage could have important consequences for an organization.

I have always felt that if you put administration or human resources in front of a person then they turn out to be human bum-heads.

lol I love it when people think that somebody is going to write up a big essay for them. We will help you with your homework - we will NOT do everything for you. You are supposed to post ENGAGING DIALOGUE not cut and paste your assignment.

Are we to complete an assignment/paper for you or something? Complete your own homework or task please. There are allot of "requirements" listed in your posting...

According to PMBOK (Project Management Book of Knowledge) the three are Resource Planning, Staff Acquisition and Team Development. My view is that Resource Planning is most important. If you don't have the right people, and plan to manage them properly, the next two are irrelevant. We have lots of white papers on Project Management resource management at www.projectperfect.com.au

They are actually the same thing. It all depends on what the firms called their department - Human Resources or Personnel. Human resources is the most used term and they deal with company personnel.

2
Hardly any difference but if there is any, it lies in the stage - HRM embraces both sourcing and managing the people; PM perhaps deals mainly with managing the personnel already recruited!

Human Resource Management is the contemporary name for what used to be called Personnel Management. Until maybe twenty years ago, every company had a Personnel Office. Since that office now has many more responsibilities than it used to, it is now referred to as the Human Resources office. So it is basically the same thing.

What business minor should I get in addition to human resource management

What business minor should I get in addition to human resource management?
As a psych major I am well aware that my major is useless on its own so I am going to get some background in business by majoring in human resource management. My college also offers seven other business minors, accounting, business administration, economics, international business, management, management information systems, marketing, and personal financial planning. Which of these would be beneficial along with my HRM minor?

I think you can take International business as a minor with resource management. It's better better to take this. http://www.SecretCashFast.com

2
hi, combine all these skills and incorporate business resources to be beneficial to you. Methods

3
Hiiiiiii.. I think you have to choose the Marketing section in Human Resource Management(HRM) because in marketing you get the nice job in the good reputed company on a high post..

There are two that will benefit you the most. The personal financial planning and the management information systems. If your more career bound I would go with MIS, but you want to know how you can survive during a recession, I would go with PFP.

Can I use a business management degree to get in to personal management or human resource management

Can I use a business management degree to get in to personal management or human resource management?
I am currently in school for Criminal Justice to become a Paralegal, but I am not liking that path and I want to switch degrees. Can anyone tell me if a business degree is acceptable in personal management or human resource management? Business is the only thing close enough to human resource that they offer.

Yep, most degrees are NOT confined to just one area of careers. With that business degree and depending on the school system, you might be able to teach in some of their schools.

2
you have have to switch majors and take human resources related courses - without the courses and probably a 4 yr degree in HR, you will never get a job in that field
